They were standing up on the northeast corner of Stead airport start of the valley of speed.

I was in the stands for Reno 2007 but these guys have a better view of the race...for free. Where were these folks standing?

Just amazes me how high they are revving those V12s. Almost sound like 2 strokes! No wonder some of them just blow up occasionally.

Actually, the only V-12 in the race, Voodoo, maydayed on lap 1. These are all radials, mainly Wright 3350s. Dreadnaught has a P&W 4360, and the little Yak a P&W 2800.

Actually it was September Fury that dropped out of this race. September Pops competed in the silver race.

Yeah, pretty cool. Wish I could upload a better video file. Tried an .avi file, but it was too big for Youtube. The original video is pretty good, but, unfortunately, a lot is lost in the translation to mp4.
