9/11 Iron Run: East Greenville PA

Just after terrorists destroyed the World Trade Center, when nearly every particle of those two massive buildings was completely indistinguishable in vast mounds of rubble, there was one vivid image that spoke eloquently of what had been lost.

The aluminum and steel façade of the North Tower stood defiantly, its honeycomb patterns still reaching for the sky, nine stories high, battered and tilted but not toppled. A portion of the South Tower façade also stood, but not as impressively.

1,100 requests from all 50 states and a few foreign countries for other pieces of the WTC's steel framework to be used in various memorials

One such memorial will be at East Greenville's Sons of the American Legion Squadron 184, actually located in neighboring Palm, near the juncture of Montgomery, Bucks and Lehigh counties. (Members of the "Sons" organizations never actually served in the military, but have a parent or a grandparent who did, and are fully sanctioned by the American Legion.)

I was on this run with my husband and was so excited to see a video of it. I've been looking the past couple of days to see if there was any new video or pictures or even media coverage letting us know how many bikes attended.
