The four performers of This Side Up believe actions speak louder than words, and in their second major show, Controlled Falling Project, they show the power to capture the imagination and the ability to share a story through a visual journey.
Surrounded by the tools of their trade, the assembly meet. What follows is the beginning of their exploration.
Moving in unison, their bodies appear to be talking, as they effortlessly perform astounding acrobatic feats.
The remarkable capacity of the human body is vividly demonstrated in a group Hand balancing act that depicts beautiful union, phenomenal strength and stamina. A fast passed tumbling spectacle, the height and thrill of the Russian bar, grace of the German wheels and the childlike nature of the Teeterboard all work in cohesion- balancing the explosive explanation and the quiet moments of This Side Up's second show.
