@999dalek Pity the Catamaran needs to be moored. Fit one with undercarriges so it can park on land. Or how about a sidewall hovercraft with similar landing gear?

The SRN4's were amazing machines, and so much fun to fly. So too was Concorde - both so missed.

@hedleythorne: You couldn't be more correct.. To paraphrase Oscar Wilde "To lose one icon may be regarded as a misfortune; to lose both looks like carelessness". We live on the White Cliffs and miss the sound and sight of these magnificent machines. The zenith of British innovation.
