Has what you heard about the Catholic Church been true or are you being lied to?

  • “Number the priests even from that seat of Peter. And in that order of fathers see to whom succeeded: that is the rock which the proud gates of hades do not conquer.” Augustine, Psalmus contro Partem Donati (A.D. 393).

“As I follow no leader save Christ, so I communicate with none but your blessedness, that is with the chair of Peter. For this, I know, is the rock on which the church is built!” Jerome, To Pope Damasus, Epistle 15 (A.D. 375).

  • @pandirasbox Throughout salvation history, God has appointed earthly shepherds over His flock (Abraham, Moses, David, etc.). Christ didn't decide to splinter His New Covenant Kingdom into territorial bishoprics. He appointed an earthly shepherd, a royal prime minister over the Kingdom, and that was St.Peter and His successors.

"For what purpose did He shed His blood? It was that He might win these sheep which he entrusted to Peter and his successors." St.John Chrysostom (A.D.387)

  • @pandirasbox Christ is alive in Heaven, and on earth does He have His vicars, that His glorious reign and truth might be made manifest to all.

  • @pandirasbox So did the King David: "[7] For behold I was conceived in iniquities; and in sins did my mother conceive me."

  • Ignatius claimed all Bishops were vicars of Christ which is absurd. Christ is alive and has no Vicar.

  • Augustine used Original Sin to sever the church so he should watch his lying tongue.

  • The Church Fathers are the children of the devil. He was a liar from the beginning and they introduce his lies into the church and sever it's unity. There is only one Father, and that is the Father of Christ.

  • @faithaloneinchrist1 It's through Scripture, Tradition, and the Magisterium(all 3 working in harmony) that the Church is able to weed out insight that may be tainted and contrary to the overall Faith.

If you want to find doctrinal changes, take a good look at Luther and Calvin, or look no further than the christian sects in your local yellow pages.

  • @TheDarkLordLucifer You mean "rend them to pieces" or, alternatively, "render them multi-pieced".
