No one right way to live? There are a million ways not to live!
I love Show of Hands. There is something proud and national about them. Something that should make the New World Order afraid.

With each day that passes, this video grows in strength. Many have seen this coming for a very long time...Community living is The Way Forward. And to the person above who states the video content is 'scaremongering'..No, you could not be more wrong. This video is simply The Truth. We are on the edge of returning to The Old Ways and we will all be the better for it, when all has settled down...Brilliant video, as I've told Keith many a time before. And of course, the song is inspirational.

The reason these guys aren't as popular as they should be is 1. their music genre, I really don't get why lotsa people don't enjoy Folk. Anwyay, 2. they tell the truth. Alot of people these days want escapism when listening to music, whether its a good song or not. They don't want to hear how the world really is ... just a thought :)
Cheers :)

@farnishk I forgot to say that I think you interpreted this song very well. I love Shhow Of Hands, although I must confess Witness isn't my favourite song (it's probably Roots) I think it has a very important message behind it. I wish more people would listen to them!

@LizzieCornish Thank you Lizzie.

I love the song but the video is just needless scaremongering. Absoloutley ridiculous, completely throwing the message of the song out of perspective.

@15niall Which bit is scaremongering, Niall? Do you know anything about the formation of the wide valleys in Devon that are ripe for reflooding as the WAIS slides into the Southern Ocean?
If not scaremongering then it can't be "needless".

What do you think the linee 'he's near, he's coming' means? I think maybe this refers to a saviour, but perhaps that's just because I'm a Christian...

@captainmeme1 Steve Knightley is quite religious, so that's probably the answer on the surface, but his songs are filled with allegory, and I wouldn't be surprised if there were references to all or some of the End of Days, peak oil, climate change/sea level rise and systemic collapse...

don't knock technology-it's a brilliant thing its what makes us human, i love music, which wouldnt be half as good without technology. However it's the way we use it which is the problem, for example, there is nothing wrong with electricity, but its electricity generated by non-renewable sources wich fucks things up

@owainyebastards "Wouldn't be half as good without technology" Depends what you have grown up with - I love synth music because I'm a child of the 70's and 80's, but if I had been bought up with traditional music then I would love that more.
