i put google earth on and 'visited' lambourn! oh boy, this has really changed in 45 years. i didn't recognise half of it. i'd still love to go back but it would be too expensive staying in a hotel any cheap b&b there?
thanks for that chubbie. well maybe i won't ever go back now. it's such a shame that it seems to have lost all it's charm and appeal. i can only think of it in '66,that was when it was a beautiful village and had beautiful people. it would maybe burst the bubble if i went back and i found the place full of yobs. i'll forever love lambourn and it's people. so it looks like my last visit was my last visit. i could cry over the thought i'll never see it again. lambourn... i'll love you forever.
well i still watch this at least 2 times a day i visit one a month to see mum and dad i miss it so badly , but the kids of lambourn now ruin everthing i really love the way you show lambourn as it used to be
was thinking of taking a little holiday to lambourn for a week or so later this year. your last posting has got me thinking though! my brother went back a few years ago for a few days and was very disappointed. he said it had all been built on and that it was no longer the little village we once knew. that is so sad. of course we all got to move with the times but not at the expense of losing the charm of the once-loveliest place on earth, lovely people too. lambourn...i miss you.
i love my lambourn even though it does not hold the same appeal now as it did all my childhood this vid reminds me of how great and freindly it used to be unfortunatly it is not now but this is on my favorites and always will be thank you christian
