excuse the intense techno music...

Car is equipped with Continental DWS tires - 225/17 front, 245/17 rear.

specs:
bmw e46, 3.0L coupe. ZSP on stock sport suspension, 5spd manual. exhaust is custom with both resonators removed and a magnaflow dual-in/out muffler with a built-in tru-x pipe (probably why it drones). Also have a K&N CAI with an amsoil dry filter (nano fiber element).

  • I have an E46 myself and am thinking about putting the dws on too. Last year in the snow my E46 couldn't make it up any inclines with the Kuhmo Escta's and had to be abandoned lol. Your car is rear wheel drive as well right?

  • @schan3 haha nice. These definitely struggle and require DSC 1/2 off or fully disengaged with a bit of slip to make it up steep inclines/access roads. I would suggest snow tires if you're gonna do more than the occasional ski trip.

  • @schan3 Yes, my car is rear-wheel drive. These tires definitely require you to take DSC 1/2 off or fully disengaged in order to make some inclines - be comfortable with spinning the tires to maintain momentum (but be careful!).

  • Nice car!!! i have Falken Ziex ZE-912 on my 2004 Mustang!!! No Grip on snow at all(2inch of snow)!!!!!! SUCKS!! seems like Continental DWS are pretty good! how is the Ride comfort on DWS?

  • @buulets, the ride is actually pretty good. The wet and dry grip is pretty damn good, however on switchnback turns, you can definitely tell that these aren't max perf summer tires...I think the sidewall is a little soft.

  • i got the goodyear assurance triple tread they r good but too stiff for my altima i wanna get those DWS tires would you recomend them. im in chicago and we get good snow storms.let me know if they r worth it.

  • @BTNH1000 I only have experience with max performance summer tires. In comparison to summer tires, these ones are a bit smoother. As for snow storms...these are supposedly the best A/S tires for snow. In comparison to dedicated snow tires, the DWS's have about half the grip. You should check out tirerack's comparison test of the A/S tires vs Winter tires in snow.

  • Good vid guy, I think I'll get these for my Accord Coupe (my General Exclaims are almost dead).

BTW, the music (which I liked) is not Techno, but Vocal Trance.

Sexy Cars & Trance music FTMFW !

  • better on a AWD car

  • cuz they are basically snow tires. i have gotten through blizzards in those tires, deep snow no problem just give the good ol s2k some gas and ram through. even hills are not a problem. everyone FWD is not the answer if you can afford a winter beater go for ii but if your like me slap some contis dws and your good to go in almost any rwd.

  • i am throughly convinced that these tires offer the best snow traction for an all season tire, hell they maybe just as good as a snow tire. i currently have general exclaim uhp in the fron of my s2k and nitto neo gens in the rear and we just git like 6 in of snow in northeast nebraska, and let me tell you i get around perfectly fine no torque in s2k coupled with the sticky neo gens i get around just as gud as fwd if not better, i still got my conti dws from last year and cant wait to put em on

  • Just wondering, I too have an E46 330Ci and currently have summer tires on the rear, i'm looking to get these dws's soon. Are these tires pretty quiet on the interior when driving under normal road conditions, because my summers are NOISE BEASTS! It sounds like I have little to no insulation because they so damn noisy. Thanks for the help.

  • @nmtdriver1 thank you for the tip. I have the same E46, but mine is the auto. Planning to move to Colorado Springs.

  • They totally suck. I have them on a FWD passat and the thing won't move at all if there's a flake on the ground. Go for the Blizzaks.

  • It's actually quite difficult to excuse the music
