@redlipstickgurl I did think that was funny myself. Thumbs down? They probably don't like puppies....or happiness. Thanks for watching and commenting!

This video inspired me to order 2 logs from the same company. I'll give you my progress report as well. I'll look forward to learning how to cook with Shiitakes!

@redlipstickgurl Those 2 people probably eat a lot of Hot Pockets and Pop Tarts.

Awesome! My father and I drilled holes in many large logs and injected the holes with the shittake mushroom stuff. It's been a year and there hasn't been much, but we did get 3 this past week. They go great on homemade pizza.

What an awesome kit to purchase. I can't wait to see you post pictures as the years pass, to show what's happening past just the first mushroom growth!
I love your motto, the 'fresh is best' idea, and I love watching your recipes. Trying the apricot chicken tonight, I know it will be delicious!

@FlameForged I gotta admit, I was shocked too. I'm worried he's okay and I don't even know the guy personally. He was just such a sweet guy and fun to watch.

. . love watching tutorial vid hehehe coz knowledge is power....
Looks interesting and we might try these out.
We have tried homegrown porcini and had a good basket-full last year, although nothing this year as it has been too dry.

@ivankinsman Thanks for coming and checking out the video. The folks at Lost Creek have been great to work with on these mushrooms. I'm interested in trying out some other mushrooms, like the porcini. I wonder if they would grow here in our climate. Cold in winter, dry in summer. Thanks again for stopping by.

This is a great video. It's nice to see some more "advanced" produce tips on your channel!

@jagwio Thanks. Did you know that 28% of Americans admit to the fact that they don't know how to cook? So there is a need to cover the basics for a large segment of the population. However, things like this mushroom log get me excited. It's interesting, different and fascinating to watch. I think folks have been very interested in this and I will try to find more things like this. Thanks for watching and commenting! Fresh is Best!
