  • Unless you are a news photographer at an incident scene you do not need to be in the victim's faces, taking pics from afar would be more acceptable. Medical incident victims are a NO NO, absolutely NO shots of the patients faces. You can still photograph them being cared for within reason. Gore or death shots are extremely unacceptable. When someone asks you to stop and you are say on the sidewalk you do not have to stop(given local/state ordinace) and that includes public safety personnel.

  • Well I have photographed Police officers and EMS personnel at incident scenes and other events, etc. First of all the issue is that if you are in a public area you can be subject to being photographed and that goes double at incidents and events. When you become a nuisance or are in the way that a problem arises. Some key points to remember while photographing is that there is no need for seriously up close faceshots unless you know the person and even then.

  • Great compilation! Hope to see one for our city police & paramedic Brothers & Sisters to! - Dispatch! :)

  • @DaveSPgh Well I plan to do a small one about EMS (I don't have a lot of in action shots of them since a lot of the medics get pissy about being photograped plus there is the whole ethics issue but we will see). As for police probably not due to the fact that they get REALLY PISSY about it. I will probably do a big Pittsburgh public safety video including everyone police, EMA, EMS, FD, Dispatch. Although I dont have any dispatch pictures and and I dont have very many EMA related.

  • @ScenePhotos I do already have the song picked out for the EMS video!

  • Great Job.. not sure about the medics and police being pissy as much as when they are involved, there are victims or actors also involved. Firefighters are worth their weight in gold, but they are at scenes after the fact. Think photos of medics and police would be a legal nightmare!!

  • Very nice ... Check my channel
