This is the Snobby Beer Review of Pumking from Southern Tier Brewing in Lakewood, New York. This beer is an Imperial Pumpkin Ale, and contains barley, hops, pumkin, and spices. This is one of the best-rated Pumpkin Ales available, and is released in August. Pumpkin Pie is the dominating flavor of this beer.

From the Southern Tier website:

"Pumking is an ode to Púca, a creature of Celtic folklore, who is both feared and respected by those who believe in it. Púca is said to waylay travelers throughout the night, tossing them on its back, and providing them the ride of their lives, from whichthey return forever changed! Brewed in the spirit of All Hallows Eve, a time of year when spirits can make contact with the physical world and when magic is most potent. Pour Pumking into a goblet and allow it's alluring spirit to overflow. As spicy aromas present themselves, let its deep copper color entrance you as your journey into this mystical brew has just begun. As the first drops touch your tongue a magical spell will bewitch your taste buds making it difficult to escape. This beer is brewed with pagan spirit yet should be enjoyed responsibly.
8.6% abv • 12.7ºL • Imperial Pumpkin Ale • 22 oz / 1/2 keg / 1/6 keg"

  • Man I really wish I could get ahold of some of this on the westcoast!

  • @epicbeerdude Yeah it goes quick around here! It's my favorite pumpkin beer right now.

  • I think we might be doing this beer on the show soon. Sounds interesting.

  • @AgileHProductions It's delicious, probably my favorite Pumpkin Ale. I almost feel like I should have given it more than a 4/5

  • Tastes like burnt pumpkin pie.

  • @magdala1 Hmm I didn't get any "burnt" flavors. I thought it tasted great, but from what I hear people either love this beer or they hate it.

    Thanks for watching!

  • Love this beer - always look forward to it each Fall!

  • @ChadzBeerReviews I've since bought 3 more bottles of the beer, and I've been craving it ever since I had it the other night when I reviewed it. I almost feel like I should have given it a 4.5 out of 5 rather than a 4, but for me a 4/5 is a really really good beer. I save 5/5 for beers that are flat out perfect... This beer is pretty damn close to perfect, though!

  • Best pumpkin beer EVAR!! I thought you'd rate it a little higher, though. It's one of my all-time favorite beers.

Did you get a new camera? Video looks really good, man.

Glad to see the beer reviews on the applicable channle now! :D
