My grandfather was shot down over Saipan. He was a ball gunner on a torpedo bomber (not a fighter). He floated in the ocean with sharks around for over forty hours before being picked up by a submarine; their radio operator was cut to pieces by the fire. He was eighteen.

La batalla de saipan fue cruel , ademas por esos de los suicidios masivos de los civiles, etc. no se muestra igual como en ese film "Codgos de guerra" (Windtalkers)
