Yes, but it is a shame to loose all those juices, it's better to put some flour into the apple filling ;) at least that is my opinion ;)

If he had put a sheet tray under the pie pan it wouldn't have run onto the bottom of the oven, either.

Beautifuk pie but he had too much liquid juice in teh apple filling because he did not put flour into it.If he had done that it would have been "spotless" ;)
