@XshamosasX Maybe she did overeact, but I think I would too If my bestfriend went through guys like Peyton did at that point during season three, (Jake, Lucas, Pete) and the reason she shut her out was because she found out from Lucas that Peyton had kissed him, which meant Peyton had lied, because she had already done something about It, and Brooke was clear that It was her last chance, and she blew It. then everywhere she went Lucas and Peyton were togetherm put yourself In Brookes shoes.

@BLAlwayss Maybe. I don't know, she may have still loved him, but their relationship was over - she didn't love him the way she used to, and neither did he. Plus, I wasn't really talking about that. I'm just saying that at this point, Brooke was overreacting WAY too much. Yea what Peyton had done in the past was WAY wrong, but at this point, ALL she did was be honest. Not go after him, not try to steal him away, just be honest. & what did Brooke do? Shut her out and make fun of her mom's death.

@XshamosasX PART TWO! She did love Lucas, but realised OR thought that Lucas was truly happy with Peyton, so let him go so he could be happy... sacrificing her own happiness. And the second reason was for Peyton, If you watch 409 again.

I really thought the statement about Brooke not truly loving him was very biased towards Leyton. When one year after graduation Lucas kisses Brooke, and she walks out & Isn't seen for another three years. Plus, she went "HUGE" with COB to mend her heart.

@XshamosasX Oh, yes... Brooke didn't 'truly' love him, yet peyton did because what she was selfish when It came to Lucas? That she put her feelings and herself first every single time that It came to Lucas, that she wanted only when she couldn't have him.

If you actually look up 'true love' It's all about selfless acts, self-sacrafice. 409 - She asked Lucas the question to see what he wanted, and she told him to go to Peyton, for two reasons; One she DID truly love Lucas and....

Woww there's a lot of hate for Peyton on here. But honestly she's my favorite character on the show. She's inspiring and strong, and yeah it was wrong of her to do that to Brooke, Brooke was being an even bigger bitch, especially when she made fun of her dead mom. Peyton was just trying to be honest. Team Peyton all the way, though I love Brooke, especially in the later seasons.

@BLAlwayss I disagree. Peyton was just trying to be honest... she wasn't trying to cause anything. Yeah, Brooke must be hurt, but she was being a total bitch. I love Brooke, but here Peyton was totally right. Peyton WAS trying to let go of Lucas, and it's not her fault that she couldn't. And Brooke didn't let go of Lucas for Peyton, she just truly didn't love him anymore. When she slapped Peyton, I wanted to kill her.
