In this video I show tearing out a tub/shower combo, both the walls & the tub in order to build a walk in shower. People disagree about taking out a tub, even when the home has more than one tub, but I disagree, I think it's great to have a large shower for the master bedroom. In my videos I intentionally don't show how to actually build out the job, as I believe many parts are too taxing for a homeowner or a DIY'er.

  • Not sure I understand your question...you can make a mud bed as big as you want, thereby making the shower bigger. Was never the issue here, it was more that I would have to move the toilet & its plumbing as well as taking up more flooring to extend outward... I wasn't being paid to do all that...but the customer got a larger space & shower than what the tub was to start. Hope that helped.
