The Plimsouls song "How Long Will It Take" from the 1980 debut album / EP, This song is one of 5 songs on that album. All these songs are clean and good. Love their sound. Very hard to find these songs. My record was barely played, so its mixed loud and clear, enjoy. Finally up!

  • @alanrweiss78726 Like the majority of the bands that were on the scene they got screwed. Once the Knac hit it was like a feeding frenzy with every single record label on the hunt for their own version of Doug and company...thing is, they were'nt looking for a successful money making band, they were sniffing around for a good tax write-off while still financially backing old warhorses like UFO, Zepplin and God knows how many others.

  • great songwriting

  • The best live band that I saw (1979-1984) in the local LA scene. Went to many concerts during those years, and these guys always delivered an axcellent live show. It has always bothered me that they did not attain commercial success in the USA. Hope all the band members are doing well.

  • Had the pleasure of interviewing them for my college paper on the release of their debut album. Great guys. Great memory.

  • They still play together every once in a while. Saw them play a sold out show at the House of Blues in Anaheim a couple of years ago.

Peter Case is a solo artist now. He is touring the East Coast now. His show is nothing like the Plimsouls. he is more of a rock n roll folk singer now but the show is great and he covers a Plimsouls song every now and then. He is an amazing song writer and performer. Check him out if you ever get the chance.

He also recovered from open heart surgery.

  • The Gin Blossoms, who have sold over 30 million records and were the ultimate in late 1980's --> mid 1990's bands (and they're back touring and making albums now!) often play Plimsouls songs live. Their rendition of "Now" is brilliant. Peter Case and the Plimsouls were one of the best rock and roll bands to ever come out of Los Angeles, and their live shows were amazing. Whatever happened to them??

  • great LA band

  • When I think early 1980's I always think Plimsouls. That they never made it mainstream makes them and their music that much more authentic.
