Claudia (pronounced "cloudy-ah") is a young Romanian and currently studying at the UEA in the School of Literature, Drama and Creative Writing. Her first film, "John Crome" is totally all her own work having done the research herself and arranged the filming to take place in the Castle Museum with an expert on John Crome and the Norwich School of Artists. Claudia also arranged to film at one location where John Crome produced one of his many local paintings of a river scene, this being discussed in the film.
There are other shots taken in the Church of St. George in Norwich where John Crome is buried but these shots were not included in this first version of the film due to the necessity to keep the film down to a certain time as dictated by her tutor. However, these missing shots are still on tape and Claudia is being encouraged to make a longer version to include those missing scenes, being an important part of the life and death of the artist.
Claudia's ambition is to direct in both film and theatre and in this very first film she shows the enthusiasm for her future involvement in the arts.
This film was provided by Terence Burchell of the Norwich Film-makers group.
