Ok, so my camera shut off and there are two parts to this "take two". However, it did shut off again but I was pretty much done ... just did some smoothing is all.

  • Hi! I was born here in the philippines, I'm a half african-american and I'm also having problems managing my curly hair. Here it's humid compared to yours.I'm glad that you have posted your video here and it's a great help.I'm thinking of relaxing my hair coz I'm really struggling wt my hair for a long time. What would be your suggestion for a starter like me? Thank you.

  • I would only use chemicals if you absolutely have to. Otherwise, you could probably get away with just flat-ironing your hair and using a product like sabino moisture block to block out humidity. Send me a picture of you hair if you can so that I can help you better.

  • Thank you so much for doing this video..im gonna try your method this weekend :)

  • You are welcome.I didn't get a chance to put up the other videos. However, please DO NOT use the barrettes.Use the slim sectioning clips that I used in my other video. The barrettes were a hard to remove. Also,I messed up in the video and took down all of the clips at once. I always take down one at a time, smooth, take another down, smooth, etc.Anyhow, let me know how it works out.Remember to chelate and deep condition 48-72 hours before you relax. This way,you won't have a lot of buildup.

  • It is permanent. Curls dont 'come back'. Teh chemicals permanent straighten your hair. it cannot revert.

However, new, natural hair grows in from the roots, but the ENDS of your hair that you relaxed will always be straight, unless you cut it off.

  • how can you relax your hair with all that stuff in it?

  • relaxing is not permanent if you relax it hen you dont redo it you just have to let your get back to its natural state over time ... or you can cut the perm out (not reccomemded

  • Permanent. But if you dont leave the relaxer in as long you keep some texture.

  • i was wondering is relaxing always permanent or is it possible your curls come back after some time

  • WOW you have beautiful hair! I am by no means criticizing you or your technique, but I noticed that you were taking your time during the application of the relaxer. When I was relaxng my hair I would try to put it on as fast as I could, and then I still would have breakage issues (the directions give time frames for hair types). I use to get so nervous b4 relaxing my hair too! I like the clip method, it sorta helped me, when I tried it- Im natural now, and Its a challenge, but I luv it!

  • your relaxer technique is flawless!! thanks so much for posting this
