First snow of the season in Seattle. Rose the Blue Heeler loves snow and normally only gets to play in it when we go to the mountains. On this day, the snow came to us.

  • Cool^_^ This dog is pretty much like the australian shepherd right? I've got a aussi and she just runs around like crazy also lol. Tons of deers over here where I live. Is the blue heeler bigger?

  • @RTiger18 Thanks for the nice feedback. Rose thinks she would like to get a hold of a deer too. We live in Seattle, so not many deer. But when we hike I need to keep an eye on her. She has gotten a couple squirrels. She's quick.

Rose is 100% Blue Heeler. Being female she is roughly 10 pounds lighter than her male counterpart would be. Plus she is a little more refined of features than some Blue Heelers who look more boxy and stout. She very tough though, and quite fearless.

  • Fantastic. I haven't laughed that hard in a while and I had a heeler for 11 years and I tell you what, this brought back lots of good memories. Thanks for posting!

  • @TheWojomatic I'm glad the video made you happy. Rose, brings joy to me everyday. She's my four-legged little buddy. I take her everywhere and people are always surprised how well behaved she is. And cute ;)

  • @antton77 We got Rose from a cattle ranch and they dock most of the working dog's tails so they don't get stepped on by cattle. It is sad she doesn't have her tail, but it would be more sad if we would have passed her by because of it.

  • I'll agree she's fast but fastest? Check out bisciut if you want to see a fast dog!

  • wow beautiful heeler.

  • @mingusobannon You're welcome^_^ Think I'll buy one myself one of these days. I'd love to see this and the australian shepherd run around the yard and things like that lol.

  • @summ83 I've heard some ACDs are bred with stumpy tails. The rancher we got her from told me he docked it and some of her siblings had tails. I was biased to want an ACD with a tail because I feel choosing a dog with a docked tail promotes the practice and I don't want to do that. But seeing Rose interact with her siblings it was obvious she was more independent and curious. She seemed like the best fit for us and I couldn't let my bias stop me from picking her. It was the right choice.

  • Have you ever thought that she might be a stumpy tailed blue heeler? Both of my dogs were born with no tails because they are 3/4 and half stumpy tails.

  • What a great Heeler she is.

  • @ mingusobannon , take a look at my blue heeler video, she's a mix with something else but they truly are a great and loyal breed!

  • @jesiicaable Thanks, I think she's pretty cute myself. She's the best dog I've ever had or even been around. If you're willing to put in a little work they're the best breed.
