  • i would like to know some techniques to use against a boxer because where i live alot of tough guys use boxing.i was going to go pro in boxing but got bored of the same vigerous training now i do goju and i feel it changed my life.it helped me stop weed/cigeretts/my anger issues.im still learning but would love some techniques to avoid the-uppercut-body shots-overall speed.thanks

  • @wemolaski

I couldn't advise on what you should do wemolaski. I don't know you or your capabilities, your skill level or your fitness. The only thing I would say is, don't try and fight a boxer like a boxer. Take them out of their comfort zone and into yours. That's all I have to say, mate. :-)

  • The general finisher once on the floor seems to be a punch, would a wet willy not be more humiliating?

  • @waterboy438

The general consensus is ..No, Our question to you is.... why would you be interested in wet willy's,sir??:-)

  • How come you guys are always beating on the older men with white hair??

  • 12Dec09

He asks the same question. The answer is because he's rubbish and falls down well, even when sober.

  • I can't claim much familiarity with Goju Ryu other than having seen the name, but am impressed with these techniques - simple, direct, practical, and absent both risky acrobatic moves and techniques suited to an counter an attack only so long as it's delivered "just so", in a precisely predefined way.

  • @wemolaski At distance kick his leg and in close combat bring him on the ground or try a choke. karate is not just kick and punch it,s a complete fighting system .. i hope it help :)

  • Dear sirs: I am happy to have discovered your series of goju ryu techniques. I train the same style in NY and am closing in on my first black belt. I am always happy to see how "pure" goju ryu has been preserved - your techniques and katas look just like ours...hardly a variation. Your applications are practical and helpful to me. Keep up the good posts!

  • @wemolaski interesting that depends al on angle and which hand the opponent is using , is fts lets say straight forward an he is using his back hand {power hand right} , as soon as u realize its an upper cut, step in an grap his fist while in his camber area after that u can elbow him with the other hand or some knees, now these are high level moves probably would only be able to pull them of when u learn high level techniques, which would mean ur timing ought t be impecable to.

  • hi , it's a good way to show the aplication,
