PICPROG V3 Programmer DeviceThe PICPROG V3 programmer by Telesystems is designed to program a wide range of microcircuits. It can be used either in mass-production programming or in the process of development and tuning of new devices.PICPROG supports over 800 devices including PIC controllers by Microchip, AVR and MCS51 controllers by Atmel as well as various parallel and series connection EEPROM and flash memory microcircuits. The programmer is a separate device which can be connected to a linear printer port of a computer through the RJ11 slot. It is possible to connect it to a computer using the COM port. In this case you will need an adapter. The advantages of the programmer include: versatility, a ZIF connector for any DIP packages (with 8 to 40 leads), a 7 lead ISP socket for on-board programming. PICPROG can work in standalone programming mode. In this case after the data has been downloaded into the NVRAM the programmer can be disconnected from the computer. Then a series of microcircuits can be programmed in a standalone mode by pressing the START button. This makes mass-production programming more convenient and increases confidentiality of the code programmed. Other features of the programmer include:- variable programming and verification voltages;- several programming algorithms;- programming in DOS and Windows;- compatibility with MPLAB supporting system by Microchip;- programming of code-protection for JW crystals of PIC controllers. Code protection is erasable by ultraviolet radiation;- code-protection removal mode for 16C8x and 16F8x;The delivery set includes: a technical certificate, a power supply unit, a PC connection cable, a cable for on-board programming, a software CD, and the book "Modern Microcontrollers".
