In this video we see a winter engineer's train working up the steep banks (1 in 9 at the start, 1 in 70ish through the cutting and then 1 in 20 climbing up through the gardens!) from Otter Junction Station to the depot, with 2 wagons and a coach in tow, on the 7 1/4 inch gauge miniature railway. The petrol hydraulic loco being used (an 0-4-0 Roanoke built loco with a 5.5hp engine) can be heard working quite hard, and the wet rail on the 1 in 20 after the points in the gardens can be seen to cause the loco slip a little. This is very impressive work for the little loco.
