This year Chatham University marks the 140th anniversary of its founding as Pennsylvania Female College on December 11, 1869. This then-and-now photo montage gives a glimpse into how Chatham has evolved from one of the first women's colleges in the U.S. to a co-ed university that still preserves the undergraduate women's college.
The song is "The Ivy of Chatham" performed by the 1994-1995 Chatham College Choir. The song was written by members of the Class of 1956 for one of the University's oldest traditions, Song Contest.
