  • @Rachegotter Of course I read your comment. But it was not very clear, was it ?

But on the other hand, you are a French person who is also an addict to this film or music... so all the best for you !

  • @Rachegotter Of course I read your comment. But it was not very clear, was it ?

  • Someone posted a music module to the Aminet of this tune years ago, the reproduction was excellent. I don't think it is on the Aminet anymore but I have found it in other places online. Great theme - not seen the film yet!

  • quand Delon était bandit , prolétaire et ...crédible .

  • @natgus1 Did you actually read my comment? Because you're just repeating exactly what I wrote. Et du reste, moi aussi je suis Français.

  • @Rachegotter Sorry to have to correct you, but I am French and in this context it means I depict, not I punish.

peiner (infinitive) does not mean punish anyway (it is punir), but to cause pain, and the first person for it would have been je peine (and not je peins).

The correct translation would be "When I depict horse thieves, I don't say it's bad to steal horses. That's the jury's business, not mine".

  • Great music. Awful movie.

  • Thanks annie-----One of my favorite films since 1970.

  • I LOVE this movie, so good. Also fantastic music and handsome young Alain Delon!

  • What an opening this music : Verneuil, Morricone, Delon et Tchekov! The best musical version too for me, thank you Annie for posting it, I enjoy watching it all the time : superb sexy and so romantic...
