It is a bit much but I actually prefer it since 98% of the time you don't hear bass in any of their songs, live or professionally recorded

@Smurff311 i couldn't disagree more. i think mic does a great job at not over-playing, yet adding a his own sound. hes a big part of why i like coheed. check out the crowing at starland ballroom. not tryin to be confrontational just sayin.

I hear ya, he fits in nicely, just the overdrive or volume could go from 7 to an 8 if the guitar and drums are at a 9 on the decibel meter

I loved this version. Once you get over the distorted bass drum, it's cool. I think a great song will sound well at any beat and any tone.
