  • Great tone! regarding the 4 cable method and the G9.2tt, i'm interested in sometimes use the tone of my amp and sometimes use a amp sim for cleans and such so does the zoom have a button or function to activate/deactivate the amp & Cab sims like the Digitech RP1000 or you actually have to do it manually in all your patches? Thanks!

  • @urbanspy2008 Hey sorry for the late reply. As far as I can remember you hold one of the bank change footswitches and it goes into a 'manual' mode where you can press lower the footswitches (opposite to what I see on the Digitech RP1000 images) 1 - 5 to turn on/off either (looking at my G9 here lol) 1-Mod/Efx1, 2-Pre-amp (what you want I am guessing), 3-Mod/Efx2, 4-Delay and 5-Reverb. The only other thing I will say is I use the midi out on the G9 to control my amps channels and use those.

  • @urbanspy2008 I may do a little video one day to demonstrate my 4 cable setup if anybody is interested because it took me a lot of research before I chose my amp to work with my pedal for this reason. I was looking at a Hughes and Kettner too but I got the Marshall. I don't know how you would want to change the amp channels depending on your amp, or would you just use a clean channel on the amp and the pedal distortions? I use my Marshall pre amp stage into the pedal then to the amp power stage.

  • Well done Gaz!!! Abacination wipe the floor with so many other bands out there!

     More vids!

  • Taa duck, ill have to start looking into doing more songs or something and sort my back out lol

  • Awesome cover, man. The harmonics are awesome, I never seem to get them the same way when I play this song... haha

  • Thanks for the comment! The harmonics annoyed me for a bit but it just depended where between the pickups I caught the string, or I guess you could tap the string on the note an octave higher, I dunno. I have my Zoom G9.2tt sorted now with the 4 cable method hooked up to a JVM410 half stack with a midi cable to switch channels from it (was a headache at fist) so hopefully stuff sounds better now than that AVT150 half stack I had on this vid.

  • You rawk!

  • Yeah my Strat has custom vintage pickups so they don't exactly pick up harmonics that well. And the JVM stack probably helps.. ;)

  • Thanks, this is all positive, i've seen the Australian Pink Floyd Show and I think they are pretty much top of the tribute tree.
