God Help The Girl - Funny Little Frog

Awesome. My channel is full of rare indie bands but I've never heard of this one before!

On Sundays I put this song on in my living room and dance around my dog. She gets a real kick out of it. Of course, I have to change "frog" to "dog" for her.

Very Joss Stone, though not as powerful.

I prefer B&S, but this version is so good.

Though I pretty much love everything by Belle&Sebastian (and especially THE LIFE PURSUIT) I really prefer this version of the song because of the nice musical arrangement (the voicing of the backing-vocals... facemeltig! And the solo voice in the last verse (2:46...) is heaven!) and because that female voice has a... soul-attitude which seems to be a surprisingly good match in a B&S-song! Plus... I'm a guy, and the singer is such a natural beauty :o)

Well you see, I am a girl, and I think Stuart is a terribly handsome man, besides being talented. So, just like you, that helps me love the original.

...but what about min 2:46? That always kills me!

Oh, he sings everything perfectly. ha! 2:46 is pretty cool, I mean, it's not like she annoys me, it's just ironic to me that my favorite song by them was changed. Also, I do wish I had known about this and could have auditioned, even though it was obviously fierce competition. I love to sing, and I don't sing like Mariah Carey or any of those types of singers.

I am curious to see how this musical turns out!
