  • I learned to dance this yesterday and I fell in love with it immediately. It is such a nice dance! It's funny how you dance this in Civil War costumes, while we are learning it as a Regency dance.

  • Since the Regency era pre-dated Civil War, this would have been a traditional dance at that time. Kindof like you going to a 2009 (modern) event and doing the Hokey Pokey.

  • This is an annual dance, always in late February. For details, check out my dance caller website. (Search for "karen contra caller.") It's open to the public (that means everyone!) and is reasonably priced, 5-1/2 hours of fun in downtown Lansing.

  • when is this. I love ball room dancing i'am with the north and south skirmish, At the Nationals we have ball room dancing night on friday nights but the only thing is that i hate is when we depart for a couple months for the off season they should have it in the spring time as well.. Is confederates welcomed as well in this
