It was so cute how when you moved the lilly pads and you patted the water and likes tons came swarming. I was like woah! They popped out of nowhere. Oh how cute. Gives me ideas on how to feed my fish like this. Thanks for uploading and showing.

koi can hear you talking to them, so say something before you feed them, and talk to them as they're eating. also, tap the water before throwing food in, and leave your hand in while they're eating if you can. you can also try holding large pieces of bread in the water. babies are much easier to train, but the adults catch on after a week or so. lots of patience is required! thanks for commenting :)

My suggestion is to go to your local pond store and ask them lots of questions. There are a lot of people who know how to build ponds. The equipment necessary depends on your pond size.
We collected the plants with eggs after the big fish spawned and kept them in an aquarium for about 4 weeks and then put them in the pond, this kept them from being eaten. Just be patient, start with bread, tap the water, put your had with the bread all the way under and wait. It takes time, but it is worth it.
