The Rondel dagger is used overhand and it can be a quite short 6-9 inch two sided dagger or a slim ground or round spike.
The hand gaurds are single handed and capped at the top and bottom thith a disc to prevent the hand slipping down or off.
It also helps with a thick gloved hand or gauntlet where feel is more restricted.
It feels restictive but once you do it and practice it really does make a lot od sense.

in reverse grip why would you cut with the flat edge and not the blade of the knife...and even so if you turned the blade toward yourself...bad news. just not understanding this I guess.

harveyhltn999 you seem like a nice guy but your guard is very weak you keep moveing your free hand and your center line is often left open for stabs into your trunk. Your reaching out to far and giveing someone alot of targets to cut. Just what I think.

It's a nice video, but I'm better adapted to the normal grip.

Size don matter... wat matter is the technique... :D nice angles... but i prefer cutting if u do have some moves on cutting show me :D cos im just picked up bladecraft not long ago..
