Music of the American animated television series produced by Filmation based on Mattel's successful toy line Masters of the Universe (the toy line actually lasted longer than the television series itself). The show, often referred to as simply He-Man, was one of the most popular animated children's shows of the 1980s and has retained a heavy following to this day.It made its television debut in 1983 and ran until 1985, consisting of two seasons of 65 episodes each. Reruns continued to air in syndication until 1988, at which point USA Network bought the rights to the series. USA aired He-Man until September 1990.

  • @ronin6401 thats actually a myth, while he-man was originally a barbarian it had nothing to do with conan

  • i have a massive box set of He Man its so cool

  • I do remember watching this old show when I was younger

  • I miss this show

  • well, at least back in the 80s, the producers actually put efforts into creating awesome music for their productions, today's animations stuff are just pathetic in comparison ,at least when it comes to music.

  • my dad told me about he man

  • he mad

  • Thanks to Mr. Scheimer and his colleagues, I feel influenced to believe in magical spheres of life somewhere out there - where certain quarters have not been able to ruin the upbringing of male children. B )

  • interesting fact, He-Man was originally to be an animated version of Conan the Barbarian, but the idea was scrapped when the Schwatzeneggar movie came out and the producers feared that such a concept was too violent for 80's children's programming. you can still see a great deal of Robert E. Howard's influence though.
