This wasn't a "bad stick", he just didn't apply any pressure above the IV site & let the blood squirt out. This would happen to any IV when u don't put pressure on it before you hook it up.

Oh god they sound like such meat heads, poor technique and seriously how does he expect to use the IV with tegaderm over the whole thing
