Gene Tierney is easily among the top ten beauties Hollywood has ever produced. Men were stunned by her beauty and charisma upon first glance. Her most memorable performances are in Laura (1945), The Ghost and Mrs. Muir (1947) and Leave Her To Heaven (1945). But, her allure goes into overdrive in every movie she made.

Her talent for expressing deep emotions conveyed with natural grace and charm is truly mesmerizing. As in The Ghost and Mrs. Muir, her performances are so haunting that these images have found a place in the long term memory of many filmgoers, easily activated after many years, even with minimal or no contact. I have posted this video as a tribute in the hope that her memory will never fade away.

Physical science should have an element bearing her name; and for her admirers, she is the modern version of Leonardo Da Vinci's masterpiece.

to impress us.Personally,she fought for life with courage that was an example for everyone.

There is something about Gene Tierney that is unforgettable. It's more than her beauty; it is a quality that shone through regardless of her roles. There is a deeper compassion for her now knowing her struggles with mental health (she was courageous to speak about that openly). Yet there is still reluctance to respect her professionally. She grew to be subtle & convincing actress who gave fine, consistent performances. She truly defines a "star".
