How misinformed about the silk road history this Russian has. Traditionally, silk road started during the han dynasty and reached its heigh and gloryt during the Tang dynasty, long before even Genghis Khan came to conquer almost the whole of Eurasia. It started from ancient Chang An (now known as Xi an) during the Han dynasty and ended in ancient Arabia(Turkey now?), but some contended that it extended even further to acnient Rome. Of course, this is just one of the few routes taken.

C'mon, guys, "silk road" in MONGOLIA?! You mkust be kidding!
No one in this world counts Mongolia a part of "silk road".

"White people founded that Silk road"?! If you count Persianas as "white people", the you may say that. But Persians don't like that.
Persians are Persians! When Persians were all over Central Asia, the "white people" were still running in nude in somewhere, Europe?!

Its a cultural shock, how these people spend years planning, while some Millionaires plan a silk road tour in a weekend, then drive around Asia with a local guide, sleeping at 5 star hotels and resorts.
