@78DougieFresh LRS? This ain't nam', fuckstick. They might be your unit's "internal special opserations", but that shit doesn't rate, moron. If the UNIT isn't in USASOC or SOCOM they are not special operations. So, save your ignorant babble. Anybody who reads this conversation who knows a damn thing about combat arms or real special operations is going to laugh so fucking hard when they read your bullshit. Have fun on that year deployment of doing not a damn thing, staff sarg'.
-
@275Crimson Here's what I actually know about your "community" There just happens to be a LRS unit in my brigade... Let me get started: 1) most article 15's in the brigade, 2) most failed urinalysis percent, 3) most negligent discharge, 4) highest percent of AR 600-9 violations and APFT failures. The only things they did right so far this deployment is the fewest security violations and tied for the fewest FLIPLs. That's a SOF success story for you! Kinda gives me a warm-fuzzy in my heart.
-
@78DougieFresh Glad you're "expert" enough to make that call, standing on your soap box of bullshit. You're out of your element, in so many ways it's not even funny. SF is one unit in the entire SOF community. The SOF community has aslo been around for a good while now. There have been tweaks made over the last decade to improve further on it's long standing history. With the entire SOF community and it's support personnel on a task, I know it will be handled... and it will save tax dollars.
-
@275Crimson Good for you, Spec Ops. I am glad you are out there doing whatever it is that you do. However, what would happen if everyone else in the military dissappeared except for your special operations (because we don't matter anyway?) Do you really think that special operations would be able to handle the mission? Here's what would happen, they'd lower the bar and let everyone into SF so they had the bodies to complete mission. How elite would SF be if you had 500,000 of you?
-
@78DougieFresh No, you're not "in the suck" like everyone else. Wake up. Stop dropping your cliche basic training movie lines, and really think about what you're saying. You obviously have no clue what SOF personnel's skill sets are. Trigger squeezing is just the fun part. I called you a d-bag because you just like every other regular army guy running his mouth, oblivious to the realities surrounding him.... with no respect for the REAL SOLDIERS out there doing REAL DEEDS daily/nightly.
-
@78DougieFresh You honestly believe that regular military personnel's skill sets are equal to that of SOF personnel's? You honestly believe that your "leaving the wire/been on the road" stories equal that of USASOC/SOCOM missions? If so, the entire U.S. Government, and world, disagree with you. Your theory can easily be proven wrong through unit indocs, training events, and actual mission results. It's called "Special Operations" for a reason. And, EVERYTHING is earned in this community.
-
@275Crimson and plus, who the hell are you to call me a douch-bag, or doubt my experience? I have 4 combat stripes, and I'll have 2 more when I come back this summer, surely that's not enough for you now is it? It's ok, bro, I understand your compulsive need to discount others. If you are, in fact, a bang-bang, good for you. Just because I have more to offer the Army than my expert shooting or 291 PT score, doesn't make me less than you. I'm in the suck just like everyone else.
-
@275Crimson Look, just because I'm not SF, or I'm not an 11B, does not mean that I am any less of an EXPERT at what I do. I am regular active duty army, but I am the best at what I do. I've been downrange more than once, and I have been on the road more than I care to admit. It is what it is, and if you think that because you are a bang-bang and squeeze triggers you are any more of a soldier than I am, hooah. I got it. You're entitled to your own miopic beliefs. Good luck, brother.

@78DougieFresh Good on you, Staff Sergeant...My wife's dad served under that flag in Europe during WWII...My dad served under it as a Marine during Korea..I served under it from '75 thru '79 in the USMC...My son served under it as an S.F. Medic for two tours in Iraq..My daughter served under it as a Korean LKinguist in the U.S. Army....Nothing gets me on spin cycle quicker than some pathetic, bed wetting jackass who desecrates our national colors..Semper Fidelis !!!!!!!!
-
LOVE IT!!
it's good to see that there are patriotic americans!!
-
@78DougieFresh I'm more concerned with the fact that you run around the internet referring to yourself as a "military expert" who is "deployed", when in all reality you are probably in the regular army, are very under qualified, and have little to no combat experience. Good on you for wanting to stick up for the flag, but don't go being a d-bag and embarrass the real soldiers. IE: SF, 75th Ranger Regiment, CAG, 160th SOAR
-
America, you are so fucking retarded
-
wow just reading comments i am amazed. The flag is what an american soldier swears to protect........its a symbol of freedom......our freedom and its under that flag that the body of a soldier is layed to rest...I got one from my dad and my children will get one from me......You should respect that piece of cloth you would if your parent was lying under it and being layed to rest (mine a disabled vietnam vet and i lost my dad at his age of 62). But I have that flag dispayed in my living room

What kind of idiot burns a flag at the VFW?
-
@275Crimson Step Brothers, released in 2008, Beerfest, released in 2006. Scene - the first time the boys find the drinking contest at Octoberfest, the Germans are making fun of them since they're chugging slow, and Schlemmer says: "I remember my first beer!" Fail denied!
-
GOOD FOR YOU VFW!
-
@78DougieFresh "Expertise", huh? What unit are you in? What's your MOS?
-
@275Crimson LOL, not my first deployment, but I love the Beerfest reference, great movie! No, I only use that as reference to my expertise on the matter of fighting for a greater cause, not to get some sort of sympathy vote.
-
@TheHalodave LOL so you would "Assault" an officer thus ending your career and serving you a nice jail sentence? I dont think so.
-
@78DougieFresh Felt the need to post your rank and deployment status, huh? It's cool; I remember my first beer too.
-
Why would they "protect his indentity"? People should have to stand by their decisions. lol
-
@DarkSchnieder666 Hardly the only one. I just haven't said anything until now. If you were to burn the flag in front of me, while I certainly reserve your freedom of expression, you would not be medically comfortable with mine. Go hard or go home solider.
-
@78DougieFresh nah what he did was trespassing and vandalism but if he had owned his own flag and burnt it on his own land thats his "right" to do so. Also I served 99 - 03 paid for my collage. Also I would never state any of my opinions are correct thats why they are opinions. lets just agree to disagree =) I think we are done here.
-
@DarkSchnieder666 Plus, you keep making personal attacks towards me as a person. How narrow minded is that? Why don't you look at the bigger picture? Less than a percent of all people in the country ever serve in the armed forces, but you think it is ok to go on the property of a VFW (Veterans of Foreign Wars) Post, and destroy our symbol of our country. For you, it's just a piece of cloth, but for us, it represents EVERYTHING. I, unlike the 99.5% of you, would willingly die for that cloth.
@DarkSchnieder666 Just a piece of cloth - so what would you say if he had killed an eagle? It's just a bird, right? For being an American, you sure don't stand for America. You might work for a police force, you might be a street soldier, but you will NEVER understand what the phrases "Selfless Service" and "Loyalty" are truly about. It was a piece of history that meant something for those that died for that "piece of cloth."

Another thing that bugs me about flag burners is their lack of respect for ‘seemingly’ anything. Why would I allow someone like that into my life? What else would they be willing to do to disrespect what they think is important to me? Set my family album on fire so that I never get to see the pictures of my family again? Shake up and spray a can of Coke in my car? Shove my favorite shirt down the toilet? Their problem is lack of respect and no boundaries.
