You can see the finsihed piece for the comic at the above URL.

I haven't done a lot of unique backgrounds for the comic yet, as I have with my other projects, so I thought I'd take a quick video of myself painting a bit.

That's about as refined as comic pages get when they're only a background. There's even a couple spots I didn't finished out ont the left windows as they weren't going to be seen.

I'd like to show more, but I need something better in the way of software. If I do this agian, it'll be better.

  • This background is brought to you by Photoshop Posterize and Cut-Out filter!

There IS a reason why you didn't start recording from the beginning.

  • @foxorian Really? Or maybe it was the fact that I just decided to throw up my recording software randomly for a half-assed video of me painting. As for starting out by taking one of my photos and sticking a quick filter on it...Yeah. So what? It's not like I was, "TRYING TO HIDE THIS FACT OH NO!" as you make it sound. It was just a random crap background to an old comic I was doing for fun when I started college. I used short-cuts all the time if I could.

"Captain Obvious to the rescue!" =)

  • @foxorian But to more address your question directly instead of the implied insult, the only reason I didn't start at the beginning was while working, I suddenly thought, "Hey I should try recording this for a few minutes". After about six minutes, I realized it would become long and boring, so I stopped. Afterwords I simply decided to put it up for fun. It was only the painting process I was capturing. This isn't a "how to".

You're not a bad artist, but you sound conceded as hell.
