I'm new to bass & I'm always surprised just how temperamental this thing is. I just cleaned my strings & now it sounds like a completely different guitar. Luckily, I'm not in the middle of recording a song, but now I wanna go back & redo stuff.

Aaaaaaaaaaaah that's my Charvel from 1992. Best sounding bass I've ever had! I sold it because the pointy headstock was a bit too hair metal for me (how shallow of me).

I always feel that strings go dead generally within maybe 2 months or so...I like the sound or complete fresh strings, the metallicness of them

@cameronj279 Using fast fret you will extend the life of your strings by at least six months to keep that bight sound that you like a cheaper option than new strings every 2 months. just a tip :-)

@Underatedkid if your interested it's £300.00 not including postage pick up only. probably best so you get a feel of the bass & know what your buying.

Music is all a personal choice and fine if you feel you get a great sound with your 15's rig brilliant. I'm not on U tube to say i'm right & the rest of the world is wrong just hopefully giving some beginners some help and encouragement
