Eli Roth is one of the biggest champions of horror films in Hollywood today. Even if you don't like his movies, you gotta appreciate his efforts.

It's too bad that the original "Gojira" didn't make the list.
A film that is frightening in the reality that it represents; the atomic bomb.

Bunch of faggots! haha

I think after watching actually horrific real videos, these kinds of movies seem like no big deal. I wasn't disturbed at all. Watching those russian assholes hammer away at that homeless guy was fucked up. Audition is just a movie.

@snigglefritz FOR REAL!!! The bathtub scene was the most haunting thing I think I have ever seen!
-
@tokyomadii I love watching indie/underground horror. That is the one movie I wish I could unsee.

FYI Eli Roth was not degrading this film. R u people really that dense? He was comparing it with his past experiences. BTW the majority of J-horror is unwatchable bs.

Eli Roth may not make the best horror films but he has fun doing it!!! How many times to people get the oppertunity to get paid for something you love and would do for free!!!? Eli Roth loves making horror films and he loves his job and that is what every person should be like. Enjoy what you're doing! There's nothing better than getting paid for doing something you'd do for free anytime!

@Saiyaswordsman89 Yea me too, although I think I read up on this movie too much because of all the hype surrounding it. It's not as scary as I thought it woulda been, but it's most definably a good movie and it is disturbing.

I really enjoyed Audition. I at first read the book by Ryu Murakami. After i read it i was really shocked. I wanted to watch the movie, At first i though maybe its just another book thats gettin remade as an movie. I always hate those movies. Audition gave me the same feeling as the book. IT shocked me . Big thumbs up for Takashi Miike
As hated as Eli Roth is, I think he actually is a pretty smart person and he definetely knows about horror films.
And yes, Audition is an incredible film, and it starts like a romantic film too so you don't expect what is going to happen.
