My first inspiration for this was driving around and around a roundabout. Remember the urban myth of the pensioner who got stuck on a large motorway roundabout and was rescued by the police after a few hours driving in circles?
Anyway. What this initial notion turned into is lots of circular and rotating and repeating images cut to support the structure and - somewhat existential - narrative of the song...
