Paul uses the Vocodar on both Cynic albums for effect, not pitch.

cmon guys, how this could be a better version of studio version ?!! here the song wasn't even complete... solo on studio version is much better then here, voice, and back vocals either!! so the reality is, its impossible to say that this version is better. Or if you do, something is wrong with your ears... anyway sry for my bad english!

So much better than the studio version, this one definitely didnt need the growls

same here mate. I dont like studio version - well I like, but that one was first i heard and i fallen in love . Anyway, Cynic is a legend, progressive metal still alive !
