Welcome to the West Wing Week, your guide to everything that's happening at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. This week, the President announced new initiatives to put unemployed veterans back to work as well as new fuel economy standards for work trucks, buses and other heavy duty vehicles that will reduce oil consumption and pollution, traveled to Holland, Michigan to visit an advanced battery facility highlighting innovative technologies that help America achieve these historic new fuel standards and addressed the nation on the budget deficit and creating jobs. That's August 5th to August 11th or "Made In America."
@247watching ... You can't stop the spending as long as the military industrial complex, the pharmaceutical monopoly, and the oil companies exist ... especially the defense weapons manufacturers. Paying for wars and tax cuts for the rich will take us off the cliff thanks to the Republicans. Yes, the Republicans who gave banks the legal flexibility to play casino with our bank deposits. The Republicans who complain about medicare costs, but won't support health care legislation to fix it.

@TheTruthNow000 You got it! You can’t spend money you don’t have. How do you propose we stop the spending addiction in D.C.? Trying to blame one group or party and hide behind another will not fix this Dem & GOP created and sustained problem. Bush was a progressive liberal just like Obama. His 8 years in office he raised the debt 4.35 trillion. Obama by the end of 2010 added 3.54 trillion. We need to stop the spending! If Obama keeps going at his current rate he’ll beat Bush.

@247watching ... and I'll say it again. You can't keep spending a trillion dollars a year on defense and continuing to cut taxes on the rich and expect to reduce the debt, which the Republican Party is far worse on. Bill Clinton left the nation in the black and had a trajectory to eliminate the debt. Bush added 1.5 trillion his first year for tax cuts for the rich and got us in two costly wars, jacking the defense budget to $700 billion annually from $300 billion. Get a clue.

President Barack Obama is now the undisputed “Worst President in U.S. History.” He can place this award on his mantle next to the Noble Peace Prize. :-(
As President, it is clear that Barack Obama is dangerously in over his head for he has no executive experience, no business experience, and no real world experience. As a Chicago community organizer, he has been thrust into the most important position in the world without the necessary skills to handle this crisis. SOMEONE ELSE 2012! :-)

@TheTruthNow000 I will say it again. The Fed needs to balance the check book. They need to stop spending $ they do not have. We can no longer afford to continue borrowing from China to pay for things we can’t afford. Our government has trashed our economy with their ineptness. The spending addiction is a bi-partisan problem. I support any person who favors a BBA don’t care what their party is. If we do not stop them they will exterminate the middle class. Are you still confused?

@247watching ... If anyone can understand you i'd like to meet them. What is your point you babling fool? Give me a straight sentence instead of all this babbling nonsense.

@TheTruthNow000 Excellent you’ve achieved reading comprehension; this is a huge step. I read back through out entire discussion. Every message I wrote you expect for the first 2 say (or babbled as you like to use) we need to stop the bi-patrician spending problem & yes my direct use of the English language has somehow eluded you. You inability to comprehend what you read has baffled me but you finally got it! Good Job! Now how do you propose we stop it? You said you don't like the BBA idea.

@247watching ... your babble eludes me. I think you're trying to say that we're all in this together on the need to reduce the national debt, and there's bi-partisan blame for how we got there. I would agree. I wish you could communicate more clearly.

@TheTruthNow000 lol not sure wether to laugh or cry. You are so irational. I've noticed this as a trend with the progressive movement to contantly coming back to name calling. When history & fact prove your theroy incorrect you throw out insults hoping the other person will become as irational as you. I will repeat myself again. We got here because of the GOP and Dem’s. We cannot tax our way out of it. The only way is to stop the spending adiction. Wake up young lamb & think for yourself

@247watching ... blah, blah, blah. You sound like a Gay Republican with your emotional babble. My numbers are quite accurate. Do a Google search on the progression of the national debt. It is absolute fact that Ronald Reagan took the national debt from $1 trillion to $3 trillion. Bush (the son) took it from $6 trillion to $12 trillion. Obama took it from $12 trillion to $14 trillion, which includes the extension of the Bush tax cuts which the Republicans pushed. Those are the facts fool.
