Hauntingly beautiful yet melancholic, the first theme of this nocturne spans over 26 bars beginning in F sharp minor and ending in G sharp major.

The middle section is entirely different. Chopin once noted that the middle section was like a recitative and should be played as if "a tyrant commands, and the other asks for mercy."

  • yeah- what's the 'unrequited love' all about? I guess when you upload something you get to stamp whatever subtext you feel like on it. "Chopin F# min. Nocturne: Chased by Wolves through the Forest"

This is a great version of the piece, though.

  • Why has no one commented on this?

It's amazing my absolute favorite version :)

The info and pictures are really nice with it too, thanks for uploading it.
