The TRX Cymbals catalog got a bit thicker at NAMM 2012, where the company introduced two new lines — the NRG series, which is designed to cater to metal drummers, and the Dark Icon series, which has a brilliant finish on the underside with a rough, unfinished look on top. It was cool that the Dark Icons come with pre-drilled holes that can be used to install rivets, tambourine jingles, and even paper clips. We also got a preview of the new TRX Digital Cymbal Studio, the company's first sample library.
