  • @noelsoong777 Most countries have had cgt for quite some time, where is this business you suggest we are attracting? Clearly we need some form of cgt, do you believe that when trade me was sold, the owner could not afford to pay tax?

  • @openblue07 we would attract more businesses to come to new zealand because we are one of the only countries that has no capital gains tax.

  • @noelsoong777 so apart from us almost every first world country has a capital gains tax, im pretty sure they also have business. If i buy ten houses, do not work so im not paying paye then i should pay tax on profit from the selling of those houses.

  • @openblue07 tax businesses more = goodbye businesses.

  • @fonzie123ish We might be better off if Key had not raised GST so that the rich could have tax cuts

  • @hustleboy62 What is so wrong with expecting business's to pay tax when they sell? Key does not want people to pay tax on money they earn from selling houses and business, he was happy to give the rich some fat tax cuts tho. At least Phil is looking out for all Kiwis not just the rich

  • @lyallbaybum69 phil goff is a muppet. labour economics = muppetnomics.

  • @lyallbaybum69 Well said, i think you're absolutely right

  • @fonzie123ish Firstly telling people that they need to redirect there youtube commenting time is an ignorant thing to say, this is the internet, the internet is a new beautiful way to express an income and theres no relation to time spent making money, so dont be a fool.

i feel sad when i see people like you who are easily swayed by personality, so that they dont see flawed plans, selling assets is selling revenue, lowering wages will force hard times on youth. Labour know this

  • I think Kiwis have to remember that NZ is a small country with a small ecomony any will never realistically never change, if you are all so concerned about money spend your "you tube complaining time" pursuing a finacily rewarding career, and anyway John Key is doing an excellent job, personally i take my hat off to him NZ has been put through the ringer this year!
