Hermosa 3rd Ride

Hermosa is a 3-year-old Andalusian mare I am starting under saddle. This is the video of her 3rd ride. Her 1st and 2nd rides are also uploaded if you wish to view them and have not. They also have more information on her and what we have been doing.

In the 3rd ride Hermosa had a few more 1sts and handled them all with ease. Her owner was the ground person this time and took up where we left off. She held the longe line and acted as a ground person, but Hermosa was not attached. After she got going and comfortable her owner slowly moved away. Hermosa was abit confused at first, but the more she worked the more she figured out she didn't need that ground person. Along with losing the ground person she also had her first canter under saddle. Both directions and correct leads of course.

I work with horses in general, often it seem mostly young horses or ones with particular issues. This is the second horse I have actually started.

great job you're doing. i'm amazed at how they can pick up things so quickly. i'm starting one of ours. he is the first one i've ever done. i can't wait to get our other little one started!
