Conrail Browns yard Santa train heads towards Freehold, NJ with Santa and all his friends. Leading the train was CSX GP40-2 still with its marker lights. NOTE the marker lights are red and green! Pulling up the second spot was Norfolk Southern GP40-2 NS #3022 with a GREAT Leslie RS3L horn.

If your a horn fan like I am, check out this video as well as Part 1 already posted and 3 ill be posting shortly. Lots and lots of Leslie RS3L action. Engineer really layed on it.

Thanks for watching! Please take a second to leave a comment and click the "Like" button. Big thanks to all those involved in making this move happen. The turnout in Freehold was great.

  • Santa had to prefer this ride over his sleigh! Neat!

  • Hope Santa had earplugs! Awesome video!

  • There I am @ 2:38, filming it. Merry Christmas!

  • Awesome video! Marry Christmas!

  • HEY I SEE MYSELF! lol, im standing next to CSX2566 next to the stop sign

  • I hope Santa had adequate hearing protection, good ol' leslie, take a lickin, keep on honkin!

  • I thought something was off about the horn, then I realized it was 3022 doing the job. The horn didn't sound out of tune as much as it did like it was backwards. Now it makes sense! Great video(s.) The marker lights were a nice touch. I sometimes forget that only Conrail's last order of GP40-2s had the "bug-eye" red lenses instead of the full classification lights.

  • Great video. Though I am shocked at CSX as they are pretty much anti PR. Markers were neat and Santa must've been deaf by the end if the trip.

  • Great work. It's a good thing they don't use the horn directly above Santa while he's riding up front, or he would need some heavy-duty earplugs.:) Those marker lights look cool, and their colors certainly fit in the holiday spirit.

  • @bigB6flyer this was the 25th year of Shared Assets doing this train
