@rakerman102 The schools hold up too a 3 week break soo that kids can work on the farm and help farmers. But they are starting to do away with harvest break due too lack of kids working (laziness) and new farm equipment that does not require workers.

The way I understan the title of this video does it mean that there is a break in harvesting or the school has a break.

The school has a break so kids can help farmers. Entry level job and they figure minimum wage is big stuff. Can be long days if weather is right! Have to make hay, potatoes, whatever before those dark clouds come in.

You work til the crop is out, and no one leaves the field, the potato house til we are all picked up, done. Kids that work the harvest are head and shoulders better workers the rest of their life due to the Maine potato dust in their veins. The experience that is priceless. If you are from Aroostook County, worked the harvest, everyone down country knows you don't have one lazy bone in your body. You are a worker not a whiner.
