there tools suck. and fyi most companys will never warranty there windows if you drill a screw on the bottom. and most retro fits you never have to take out the whole frame.
Don't use scrapers on the glass. Peel the stickers off. Many of todays replacement windows have new tech coatings on the inside and outside. These coatings help make them more efficient and in some cases (like with some Andersen's) actually help the glass stay cleaner. A scraper or razor won't hurt bare glass any but could damage a coating.
