The Township of Muskoka Lakes shattered our 121 year old dream when they decided to up the taxes on our dilapidated cottage to nearly $5,000 a year. Were we able to afford to rebuild (the going rate here is $150/sq. ft), we'd have our taxes go up to around $10,000 per year. So, pack up and leave it is. If they want pushy rich folk with a sense of entitlement in our stead, so be it. I'm moving out towards your area, crackwalker.
