This is a short Slideshow of my progress in building an arcade cabinet.
Sad about the end of those great years in the 80s & 90s with Arcade Machines wich soaked up my bucks like milk, I decided to build my own ;)

  • Did you buy like the joystick parts or the whole thing together?

  • @sasukeuchhia

I Bought the components and made my own Layout so that it fits my needs.

The metal sheet is made of stainless steel and was drilled and bended by myself.

There are many vendors you could buy each component you need.

  • What are the specs of the computer you used?

  • @techkid100

P4-2,4 GHz; 60GB Harddisk; 1GB RAM; ATI Raedon 9800 Pro

    Just my old PC ;)

  • @ST3INERGER I have an ok PC with a pretty decent processor but it only has about 500mb of ram. Will that still perform well?

  • @HbAvenger

I think all older PC will do it well for the real classic arcade games. Such as Galaga, Pacman, DigDug and so on...

Games wich came out from the 90's and later were designed more complex with a bunch more of sound and gfx processors. This could be a reason for the emulation to become kinda laggy if your specs are too low.

Anyway I got Original JAMMA PCB's wich are laggy in their original condition Oo ;)

  • Very well done! I also love the song in ur vid!

  • Can imagine it was pretty difficult to build, but top job persevering with your labour of love back in '08. Honestly, think finishing touches like the bezel look great too. Are you still getting plenty of play out of it? COOL STUFF anyway man!!! :D

  • @Linkinpork989

  • Nice job, I'm about to start refurbishing a cabinet myself, then building my next one, your video was very inspirational.
